History

Music and Event Management, Inc. (MEMI) was incorporated in 2001 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the renowned Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.  As the leading promoter of live entertainment in Southwest Ohio, MEMI is the result of a unique combination of experienced professionals who maintain an innovative leadership in the creation, booking, producing, and marketing of first-class, live entertainment experiences and events.

Current venues/produced events include Riverbend Music Center, PNC Pavilion, Stuart and Mimi Rose Music Center at the Heights, The Taft Theatre, The Ballroom at the Taft Theatre, The Longworth Anderson Series at Memorial Hall, MidPoint Music Festival, and Cincy Cinco Latino Festival.  Past events have included Tall Stacks, Jammin on Main Cincinnati, and Lumenocity.

In addition to being the largest promoter of live entertainment in Southwest Ohio, MEMI and the senior staff have also been leaders in the development of artists in Southwestern Ohio.  MEMI and the senior staff of MEMI have been involved in bringing such artists as Kid Rock, Matchbox 20, Foo Fighters, Collective Soul, Jewel, ICP, Joan Osborne, and others to the market early in their careers. 

The tradition continues today with The Ballroom at the Taft, where MEMI presents new, established, and rising stars on a regular basis.  Some of the acts include Jason Isbell, Cage the Elephant, The Steeldrivers, Puddles Pity Party, Tank and the Bangas, Anders Osborne, The Wood Brothers, and many others.  MEMI remains committed to bringing the best entertainment available to fans across Southwest Ohio from developing artists to established superstars.

MEMI provides a wide variety of experience in service and consultation; venue design and construction; event production and facility management including marketing, sponsor acquisition, talent buying, event ticketing, and concept development.
